This is my second video edit of master colorist Peter Doyle speaking at the AFC conference on HDR in Paris. Here Peter compares the tone map renditions of blacks and highlights with Film Print, Xenon DCI and Dolby Laser HDR. He also gives an overview of his HDR workflow. This is part of my new series of posts about image postproduction ,titled PostModus. :)
Video of Peter’s Presentation
The five-and-a-half-minute video below is my edit of footage shot by Pauline Maillet of the presentation. Peter was wearing headphones to hear translations of the other French speakers. I decided not to grade the footage — who am I to grade Peter Doyle? :)
