On display at NAB this week, the new rig will begin shipping in early May.
Wooden Camera has introduced the Shoulder Rig v3, available in Base ($499) and Pro ($995) models.
Compared to the Shoulder Rig v2, the weight of v3 has been reduced by 10 percent for the Pro and 18 percent for the Base, and the shoulder pad is larger and more durable, with an integrated kickstand for setting the rig down.
Additionally, the new Pro model features arms that telescope from 4.5"-6.7" and rotation points to widen or narrow grip spacing.
Both Base and Pro models of the Shoulder Rig v3 include an Arri standard dovetail and rosettes, a NATO-standard crossbar for lateral left and right adjustments, and threaded holes for attaching accessories such as monitors, rod clamps, cheese plates and battery mounts. Handgrips are available in black rubber or brown leather.
The Shoulder Rig v3 can be pre-ordered on Wooden Camera’s website and through the company’s dealership network; it will begin shipping in early May.
