Vū Technologies will expand its Tampa-Nashville-Las Vegas virtual-studio network with a $17 million seed investment from ADX Labs, Topmark Partners and Angel investment syndicates.

“We are on a mission to create the world’s largest virtual-studio network for the film, television and advertising industries,” says Tim Moore, Vū Technologies co-founder and CEO. “With our fully immersive, photorealistic virtual environments, we are empowering world-class directors and talent to shoot scenes as if they are on location anywhere.”

Vū Studios are soundstages that integrate Vū technologies invented and patented by Tim Moore with third-party products, including Epic Games’ Unreal Engine, Mark Roberts Motion Control and Mo-Sys motion-tracking devices. The Vū Max, Vū Pro and Vū Essential are large, circular soundstage studios that feature HD LED panels on all walls and ceilings. The Vū Dome is a soundstage in a 30'-diameter dome structure with curved HD LED internal surfaces, providing a 180° x 90° volume. Vū Walls, which can be built in any size, provide advanced shooting environments for tracking shots.

“Vū Studios is leading the virtual-studio revolution,” says Steve Lux of Topmark Partners, “and we are excited to support their continued growth.”
