A collaboration with Verizon and Amazon Web Services, Wavelength Sputnik puts Teradek's streaming-video server on the Verizon 5G network.

In collaboration with Verizon and Amazon Web Services, Teradek is now offering Wavelength Sputnik, a new, ultra-low-latency monitoring server for its Core cloud service.

Wavelength Sputnik puts Teradek’s streaming-video server on the Verizon 5G network, significantly reducing streaming-video latency when paired with Teradek hardware, software and Core cloud platform. The integration provides a 50-percent performance improvement over Teradek’s existing low-latency options, according to the company.

“This improved monitoring solution works anywhere Verizon 5G service is offered via AWS Wavelength Zones, which cover the entire United States,” says Tyler Riddle, live-streaming product manager for Teradek. “It’s the ideal solution for applications in production monitoring, law-enforcement situational awareness, and drone-to-cellular monitoring where local monitoring solutions can’t reach, among other applications.”
