Three-axis controller and three-axis smart receiver will begin shipping in May.

Teradek has unveiled two new devices and an iOS app for Teradek RT wireless lens control.

CTRL.3, a three-axis controller, and MDR.X, a three-axis smart receiver, join the company’s recent innovations in this space, the MOTR.X superspeed cine motor and the CTRL.1 single-axis hand controller. The new devices will begin shipping in May.

The CTRL.3 controller, which lists for $3,499.95, offers precision lens mapping, allowing users to store and recall lens maps and display the information in real time on SmallHD monitors. This is an exclusive integration for Teradek RT and is available on all of the latest SmallHD monitors running OS3.

“We’ve built a new lens-control platform from the ground up,” says Greg Smokler, vice president of products for Teradek. “What really sets these new tools apart is their unique integrations: the SmallHD video overlays, camera control with Red and a versatile iOS app.”

Integrated Bluetooth adds additional connectivity between CTRL.3 and MDR.X or MDR.ACI receivers, allowing sharing of lens-mapping information as well as rapid configuration with the new, free RT iOS application.

The MDR.X, which lists for $1,499.95, is a small, lightweight three-channel receiver that is camera-agnostic. Featuring integrated Bluetooth and a built-in OLED display, it allows for quick configuration and real-time status updates.

Both the CTRL.3 and MDR.X are compatible with previous-generation Latitude and MK3.1 RT products, making it simple to integrate into any existing RT workflow. Like the Latitude line of RT products, the MDR.X offers Red camera control integration via Foolcontrol.

Teradek is offering an upgrade program for owners of all current-generation RT products.
