Rotolight Introduces R-90, R-120
Designed for commercial, fashion and video applications, the 16-sided light shaper offers soft light output with a crisp edge that lends dimension and detail to the subject.
Rotolight has announced the Rotolight R-90/R-120 Universal Parabolic Softbox Umbrellas.
Made from a durable, highly reflective material, the R-90/R-120 are ideal key light for portraiture, commercial, fashion and video applications. The 16-sided light shaper offers soft light output with a crisp edge that lends dimension and detail to the subject while producing natural-looking catchlights.
Both sizes come with removable 1-stop outer and half-stop inner baffle diffusion panels, which can used individually or combined to create a 1.5-stop diffusion level. A 40-degree fabric honeycomb grid is included, allowing users to fine-tune soft light in any shooting scenario.
The R-90’s quick-release system allows users to set up the softbox in seconds. When combined with Rotolight’s new Universal Bowens/Elinchrom adapter, users can mount any model of Rotolight Aeos or Neo or, alternatively, any LED light featuring a 1.4" 20 thread. Additionally, as native Bowens Mount modifiers, the R-90/R-120 are ideal for a range of studio flash and speedlights.
The R-90/R-120 feature pocketed steel tension rods for long operational life and simple, fast setup and breakdown.
The Rotolight R-90 lists for $269, and the Rotolight R-120 lists for $299.99. Each pack contains a storage bag, a deep parabolic softbox, an outer-layer diffuser, an inner-layer diffuser and one fabric honeycomb grid.
Both products can be pre-ordered now and will ship in July.
