Glidecam HD-Pro Now Shipping

New handheld camera stabilizer combines popular components of Glidecam HD Series with high-end professional features typically found on more elaborate body-mounted systems.

Glidecam Industries is now shipping the Glidecam HD-Pro, a handheld camera stabilizer designed for video, DSLR and mirrorless cameras weighing up to 10 pounds (4.53 kilograms).

According to the company, the Glidecam HD-Pro combines the best components of the Glidecam HD Series with some of the high-end professional features normally found exclusively on the camera sleds of  Glidecam’s more elaborate body-mounted systems.

Weighing 2.1 pounds and made entirely in the United States, the new stabilizer features a “drop-in style” precision dove-tail camera mounting plate, which features laser-engraved 0.10” adjustment markers and rubber friction grips; knurled fore/aft and side/side balance-adjustment control knobs; an industry-strength spring-loaded camera lock knob; a redesigned precision CNC-machined base assembly; stainless-steel internal hardware, and precision CNC-machined telescoping clamps.

The Glidecam HD-Pro lists for $499. For more information, visit the company’s website.
